Steps

  1. Export the final file from the design tool, CMS, video editor, mobile app, or screenshot workflow.
  2. Open the Image Size Checker.
  3. Check width, height, aspect ratio, file size, and format.
  4. Decide whether the file is a thumbnail, social post, banner, marketplace image, product image, or Open Graph preview.
  5. Open the matching ImageSizeKit guide.

Route Map

If the checked file looks like Open
YouTube thumbnail or video cover https://imagesizekit.com/youtube-thumbnail-size/
YouTube Shorts or vertical cover https://imagesizekit.com/youtube-shorts-thumbnail-size/
Mixed social media image https://imagesizekit.com/check-social-media-image-size-before-upload/
Website share preview image https://imagesizekit.com/open-graph-preview-checker/
Wide header or banner https://imagesizekit.com/banner-size-checker/
Wrong ratio that needs a clean resize https://imagesizekit.com/aspect-ratio-calculator/

Common Failure Pattern

The design canvas says the right size, but the downloaded file has different dimensions. This often happens when an export preset changes scale, a template is resized, a preview image is downloaded instead of the source, or another app compresses the image.

Check the real exported file before the upload screen.
